Movie Inspiration

Welcome to the only site for automatic movie plot inspiration! We're still in the early stages yet, but the basics all work... maybe.

How's it work? Well, we've got a big list of movie components - characters, settings, plot elements - that have proven successful (or not so successful) in the past. There's a lot of combinations that could come together - but haven't. That's where you come in.

I'll suggest a list of up to three different movie components, chosen completely at random. Your mission - should you choose to accept it - is to combine these components into a short plot summary for a hypothetical film using all of these components.

Rules: The first rule of Movie Club is -- Wait, no. Don't go.
1. You must use all components assigned. No matter how similar or different they might be.
2. You must be brief. Try to keep it to a hundred words or so. Still feeling creative after that? Go do another - there's nearly 250,000 different combinations currently possible.
3. You must not spam. The long-term plan includes a way to rate stories; for now, all submissions are reviewed by a small team of dedicated fa-- well no, it's just me. Ads for your favorite herbal supplement will be given short shrift.
