Crime wave continues, news at 11
Last week, it was innocent hubcaps carried off by some unscrupulous collector of spare parts for my car. This week, someone was dumb enough to leave the passenger window down just enough (evidently) for an arm to reach in and unlock the passenger door. And help themselves to the CD player, and perhaps some other stuff – I didn’t have a chance to take inventory this morning, I was in a hurry to get to class on time and I had a bus to catch. They did at least go through the cubbyhole under the armrest, ’cause they thoughtfully left something which I keep in there out on the seat to let me know they’d been there. Suddenly I wonder if I’ve still got a parking pass…
The sad bit is that, even living right beside the highway and all, we don’t really get many skeevy visitors wandering through. Well, except for the guy who comes by to collect aluminum cans out of the dumpster. So it seems like there’s a fairly good chance one of my friendly neighbors is now enjoying some new electronics. Grr.
