Halfway done!
Jul 20th 2004Wallabynerd alert
It’s amazing how little time I actually spend doing experiments, sometimes. Spent most of last week talking about a set of experiments we needed for a paper (to show that someone else’s work back in the 70s on the effects of fluoride concentrations on cholinesterases was basically a great big pile of garbage… he didn’t buffer adequately and assumed the pH was constant - it’s not, the salt he was using contained a weak acid). And ordering the salts needed (including the controlled sedative veronal - it’s for a buffer, really, officer…). And waiting for them to arrive. Spent yesterday arguing about how to do it. So that’s probably 30-40 hours “planning” for it (loosely defined)… and then an hour and a half this afternoon to do the first half and confirm that the calculations were correct.
Gets my name on a paper, though… easiest three-hour paper ever… *cackles*
