Just skating on the same route

Spent half of yesterday setting up the new sensor that we bought to be like our collaborator lab… nice and shiny and new and only took three hours to break in and calibrate. But it works, and now they can have theirs back again to use.
The experiment we set up yesterday for to do today didn’t work, there’s a (new?) bug somewhere in the control software that caused it to break the specimen after one acquisition…. probably going to take a couple hours to track down and fix. Thought I’d stomped on that particular one before, too. I need something to test in it, there’s no way to fit a spring in there.
Got the first draft of the paper back, he only wanted one block of major changes and some tweaks to the intro. It’s a biomechanical paper for vibrational spectroscopists, I’d made it more of a spec paper for biomechanics people. Or something. Easy to do, and I can hopefully get the second draft done this week so we can get all the changes back from the coauthors Monday or Tuesday. And now I can work on the poster 
Oh, and buy shoes. I need shoes. And to cleanup the leftover Chinese I just spilled on the carpet. Oops.
