Oddly quiet around campus lately, which is a shame since it’s finally really springy. The cherry trees are blooming, and the sun is (usually) shining, even though it’s a bit cold still. I guess classes are ending.
Downside of collecting massive amounts of data is that massive amounts of data must be processed. And when it already takes 5 times as long to process the data as it does to do the experiment, and the advisor is talking about speeding up the experiment by a factor of 10… it’s time to find a better/faster/harder/stronger way to do the analysis. Which means computer stuff and learning all over again why I didn’t want to do computer stuff for the rest of my life.
Yes, I’m writing this just to write something.
