It’s amazingly difficult to find default color combinations that look decent and headache-free; these will do until I figure out something better.
Granxiety (n.): The chronic anxiety that principal investigators, and consequently their students/research groups, feel when writing/submitting a major grant.
An undergrad was giving a tour of the building to some prospective freshmen the other day. (Well, for the past several months, actually.) Overheard as I walked past:
“So a lot of the classes are taught by TAs, but don’t worry, they’re not undergrads. They’re graduate students working on their masters’, PhDs, or even the doctorate.”
I didn’t have time to stop and ask her what she thought the “D” in PhD stands for…
