FACSS 2005
Flew out this morning, about an hour late thanks to Northwest deciding to swap planes on us instead of fixing the original one. Quebec stamped my passport (Ontario never has), so that’s no longer blank.
I entered my poster in the student poster awards session this evening, mostly to get a bit more exposure…. I brought 8 copies to hand out, gave away 6 of them last night so I shuld probably get a few more copies before I put it up again Wednesday
Lots of good suggestions; the one I really liked was trying to gate the signal to reduce the background fluorescence. The camera’s probably fast enough, especially if I repeat it multiple times to accumulate more signal. Not sure how hard/expensive it’d be to include this now.
Pfizer took us out to dinner; one of my labmates used to work there, and is still friends with folks from their R&D labs. They went out to dinner and invited the rest of us along — very nice place, the “47th Parallel”. Good thing Pfizer paid
(Sssh, we were being recruited.)
