Virtual news

Not a lot going on at work that I can really report on, not much happening away from work either. So this week’s (month’s?) post will simply be a link to a very interesting (and not too detailed) article on “augmented” virtual environments — not just “virtual reality”, but “virtual reality” with additional information added in by processing what else is there into a way that’s easier to see.

“Augmented Virtual Environments” in Optics and Photonics News. (That link’s probably only good for this month, since it’s the current issue… hopefully there’ll be a more permanent one later.)

Oh, and I’ve turned comments off for a while, not that most people will notice — total bandwidth roughly tripled this month already thanks to automated spam. It doesn’t make it past the filters, but why let people try?
