Dr. Wallaby
May 18th 2006WallabyGeneral & thesis
Yeah, well, I passed. Got through my talk okay, supported by a loyal crowd of labmates, friends and my parents. My committee had mostly just nice things to say, a couple suggestions about describing some of the figures a bit better in the text and making sure that the graphs have labels on the axes. My advisor is out of the country for the next week, so another professor gets to deal with signing off and stuff; he wants to see the revised version Monday sometime. Which means I’ll definitely have it all submitted and everything before my 29th birthday next week!

Woot! Congrats! (yeah I know I already said it, but felt like posting a comment, just because)
I forgot to offer earlier, but if you still need any graph axes labeled, I could use my mad labeling skillz (that were developed even more by coming up with captions for stupid newspaper-pictures).
Congratulations to you. I received my Ph.D. at age 29 also, that was decades ago. In fact, we just had landed on the moon! Anyway, I am glad that you completed your work, and now, as I see, are onto a postdoc. Jack
