The boss “reminded” me the other day that my two-year appointment as a postdoc is ending this summer. Theoretically there’s some chance that it could be renewed, although practically speaking I’m not really very hopeful. (Nor excited by the idea - basically it would just mean more time to find a RealJob while actually getting paid.)
Not even really sure what kind of job I’m looking for - another postdoc doesn’t appeal, but may be necessary. If I could get one; this first one has not been a total success.
Good to know there’s a range of career choices still available, though…
